There's definitely mileage in showing that a couple of near-60 year old men can be just as juvenile and idiotic as any teenager. I used to look at my Father's friends and think they were so sophisticated but now I'm about the same age as Kenny - I was born in '67 - and I still just do and say stupid shit all the time. The only real difference is that I mainly just say it to myself.

Paldemic was beautiful but also a little sad for me to watch. Seeing the guys together again was heartwarming and filled me with child-like joy but it felt like this is what it is—we're not going back to, or can't go back to the old style. Even Kenny said that if he had to do it again, he wouldn't be the same as he was which makes perfect sense but the damn nostalgia is too strong. I wanted to see Kenny hit Spenny with his edgy jokes as an elderly man while Spenny complains about being too old for this shit lol.

This was a great episode that I hated beforehand. I'm trying to think of what changed. Maybe I was expecting too much at the time but I think there's more. I feel this worked better as an accompaniment to the series instead of being a standalone special that aired a decade after the show. This also aired during peak COVID and I remember finding the COVID bits exhausting at the time. I also remember feeling really bad Spenny. The assurance that he hasn't killed himself has helped a lot.

You can hear that you had to edit the audio when Spenny was in the furnace room to avoid the show being too heavy. Spenny was crying. Would’ve been interesting to hear what he actually said.

I remember the hype in the lead up to this. The first new KvS content in a decade... everyone was so ready for it. I bought a VPN service just to watch it as an American. I'm really glad you made Paldemic. It's very funny KvS content, but it's also a time capsule of the covid years. It's easy to forget how crazy everything was in 2020
