Insider's update July '23

Yes, I'm still alive :-). The Leuven Bach festival took place from July 7th till July 15th. I'm back here with an update on several subjects as always, but the most important one probably being the lessons learned after having had a lot of contacts with international musicians and students on our beloved topic!

Thanks for the updating. Much patience is needed till the tempo-problem will be accepted and fully understood. I suggest performing without lecturing, let alone referring to the performance under the title of authentic historical performance (including the tempo as only one of the authentic elements).
How sad that not even professional classical musicians see the importance of the tempo that the composer had in mind! I'm looking forward to your next podcast!
I'm just as surprized about how I listen to you for thirty minutes, effortlessly! On the subject of "Different Tempi for different audiences..." It just can't be helped. Nothing is universal. What you do has a lot of value, to me and everyone in here, but I have doubts that it will ever appeal to most Classical fans.
