Major Moulinette Server Update on December 25th - COMPLETED

Dear supporters and creators,
After several months of refining the Moulinette service, it's now time to update our servers. This is a major upgrade, bringing optimizations across the board: improved automation for future updates, enhanced thumbnail generation and package processing, bug fixes, and more.
The update is scheduled for December 25th, followed by a monitoring period in the days afterward to investigate and resolve any reported issues.
This message aims to outline the expected impacts.
For Game masters (GM) and players
No impact on all locally indexed content
No impact on any (already) downloaded content (scenes, tokens, images, etc.)
For Moulinette Cloud content, the module will be unavailable for several hours on December 25th. I will update this message with progress and service availability as the update progresses.
This will also apply to all cloud features (image search, Obsidian module, browser extension, etc.).
Once the update is complete, I anticipate that some bugs may remain undiscovered during our testing due to the wide variety of content and use cases. You can report them directly in this thread, via Discord, or by submitting a bug report on GitHub. Unless there are major regressions, we plan to address the issues forward in the following days.

For Creators
Uploading new packages will be disabled on December 25th and 26th to ensure that, in the event of a rollback, no content is lost, and you won’t need to duplicate your efforts.
Once the update is complete and Moulinette Cloud is reactivated for creators, if any of your packages result in an error, we will be automatically notified and will review and fix any issues. No further action or effort will be required on your part. If users report issues with any of your content, please simply contact us via private message on Patreon or Discord.
And then ?
This update will greatly assist in future developments. Moulinette was created over 3 years ago with the goal of attracting a few creators and a hundred users, without anticipating the current success (90 creators, 4,000 members). To provide a better service, certain operations need to be automated, and some features may be revised or even discontinued. In 2025, I plan to develop new integrations (and improve existing ones) to allow you to use the same content across other platforms.

I'm really sorry for the situation. It wasn't related to the update itself. It happened a few times in the past and I narrowed it down to some overload on the server that I'm suspecting to be caused by "robot crawlers". I implemented a service check that would remediate the issue within 5 minutes. I'll monitor in the next few days to make sure it's working properly.

Hi Mark, No the older "API" remain unchanged but I implemented a new set of APIs that you should later consider switching to. Also, thumbnails have been regenerated to keep ratio.

Sounds good! Will this change the results of the API calls? Just checking if I need to update anything for the integration with my VTT (I'm the guy who made a non-Foundry VTT with Moulinette integration).
