Test Room Behind-the-Scenes: New CPU Methods & More
🕑 Added 2020-02-15 01:20:54 +0000 UTCI have a behind-the-scenes Patreon video coming up, but asked Patrick to fill the gaps with a walkthrough of our testing room and what's going on currently. The testing room is my favorite part of the office to show off just because of how much is always going on in there. In this one, you get a look at new CPU testing methodology, 3990X testing and challenges (or lack thereof), and an embargoed, blurred-out product.

I just thought the same exact thing. Defocus your eyes a bit on a small thumbnail. He's due any day now.

Is it just me or does Patrick look a bit pregnant on first glance at the thumbnail? I mean, the way he has the paper bent in front of him.... JK, of course, thanks for the behind the scenes! Keep up the good work.

My personal opinion on the Arctic Liquid Freezer II is a 2/10 had two of the 120mm units die on me. One almost killed my R5 2600 and Aorus B450I showed up with a broken fan and the wires under the tube wrap was cut and had conductors sticking out. The second one a replacement had a dead fan wire as well and the VRM fan died at two months and made awful squealing noises. The pump still works though for what its worth.

2 year warranty vs 5 year warranty for the undisclosed AIO will be interesting and I hope it is a talking point.
