Not really sure about the pallets over there in the US, but the ones here in Australia are usually made from treated pine, so you're talking about the usual pesticides and anti-fungal etc. so generally they don't like to throw them right into the ground at the local dump like they would with normal un-treated yard 'green' waste. If they're not treated then it's usually from the nails/ screws that are in them so they can't go into the local dumps mulchers without causing them some type of damage.

Good to know they're still other companies rocking lotus notes! It has an IBM logo on it, and it's written in Java, much better than any "cloud" things, right? /Sarcasm Jokes aside, it's fascinating how much large companies don't care about those things. Oh, did I tell you that some companies are still disabling windows update? BTW, that includes security updates and browser updates. Looks like I'm rambling too...

When you cleaned the top of that booth, it just reminded me of all the old walk in type ones that Ive had to crawl on to disassemble in the past. Human skin is gross.

We love getting new or new-to-us testing equipment at work. What was it design for? What can it do? What can we use it for in our particular testing? What sort of procedures should we write up? What spare parts do we need to purchase? Lots of R&D fun. I look forward to watching the results!

Really looking forward to seeing how the audio testing suite takes shape!

Oh man... If you're anything like me, going through and optimizing processes, documentation, and tracking is pretty fun and rewarding. I love that stuff! Although, having a brain which operates in that sort of, "optimize and increase efficiency" domain, working at former day jobs stressed me out and made me constantly frustrated. My last day job was working for a newish gig economy company which had so much potential, so much room for growth, but also recently acquired by a huge insurance claims handling corporation. An ancient company that was still using Lotus Notes! Nothing was done quickly or efficiently. I proposed a small change one of our devs could make to our internal tool which would take an afternoon to implement, which would have saved us like $34,000 a year in labor alone. After months of showing leadership my documentation and proposal, with no one able to make the decision to just make it happen I gave up attempting to even care about the company, which was sad. I really did like it there and wanted them to be successful. (Maybe I should have sent in a resume after all, haha!) Sorry... wow, that was a ramble.... I'm sleep deprived and loopy. Anyways- looking forward to all the awesome new stuff coming out from you guys! :)
