Hey Jerry, for 99% of the time the flame is kept underneath the tray, to heat the whole thing. For most parts, this is sufficient to get the job done. But the clickspring is an awkward part to blue, because of its variable profile and cross section. When I was shooting this video, the teardrop section was lagging just a little bit, so I gave it a lick of flame from above towards the end to get it over the line. Cheers mate :)

hey mate when you use the bluing trays do you heat from the top or from underneath? it looked like i could see the flame in the top of the screen in some shots
