City names for the northern hemisphere dial of the Byzantine Sundial-Calendar

First episodes of both the Antikythera and Sundial Calendar projects will be out in a week or so, but in the meantime I'd like to get a start on selecting the 16 city names for the Northern Hemisphere Dial of the BSC.
I'm expecting quite a long list of nominees, so extra bonus points given for choice justification!
I will put the list of nominees to you as an online poll in a later post.

You should add New Orleans. Its sits at almost and exact 30deg Latitude and 90deg longitude (29.9511° N, 90.0715° W) which would allow for a very simple traditional sun dial set up. Your sun dial would need only to be pointed north and angled at 30 degrees to earth for an accurate time. Any where else you need to use the equation of time and add an offset to the reading on the sun dial.

One Canadian city would be nice, Toronto preferably but Québec City has a lot more history and would probably make more sense as a recommendation.
