Wow, just wow. As I pointed out the origins of those parts over a month ago, it's awesome to see how great they turned out. So sad to think 4 of the 5 pieces will spend most of their days hidden behind a sundial plate. It will give the device a hidden beauty. Unless of course you decide to give the dials an engraving makeover too, which at this point wouldn't surprise me.

Is no one gonna adress the fact that the engraved parts belong to the current patreon series ? (At 0:07 you can see five different parts including what looks like the suspension arm of a certain sundial...) Seems like one lucky patreon gets to enjoy not only a master-tier mechanism, but also a wonderful engraving by Chris

I think I have seen systems where the vice vibrates rather than the graver. And presumably this would have been done with a tiny hammer in ancient Greece?

Chris, are you engraving with one hand and your other hand turning the vise ?Do not think I am Peter Jackson but when you release your TGT video on this a shot showing your hand placement might give a better understanding of what is going on . Ralph
