Preparing for your ride, what to bring! (Mountain Bikes 101)

I really like this video series. Reminds me of some of the original content of Seth’s Bike Hacks. I remember you telling why you like your Osprey pack for hauling your go pro gear. Very helpful but also entertaining content is what made those original videos so good.

Another Great "101" video, Seth. I ride a 4 mile loop 2-3 times a week to stay active. I don't bring any water (bottled or bladdered) unless it's over 100°F. It rarely takes more than 40 mins to do. (I do take a spare tube and the CO2 though.) I use the velcro strappy frame pack. It's good to check and reseat/tighten those things as they can loosen up and inject themselves into the pedal path with bad results. I've only used the CO2 once. I burned two cartridges cause I'm an idiot and I wasted the first one learning how the inflator worked.

I flew into JFK on the 19th for my Dad's 100th birthday, flying back at noon on the 22nd. Saturday they cut off Manilow at the Central Park concert and they were projecting the eye of Henri to pass right over the airport. Got out early, but sure looked like a lot of rain.

What 3 Words is a great idea!

I saw the flooding on the news this morning. It seems like the East Coast is getting hammered right now. Between that and the fires out west it's making ya wonder if 2020 was all that bad.

2 things, valve cores, and for first responders, try ‘what 3 words’ but great video, keep up the amazing vids

Hey Seth, an option for if you don't have cellphone service is a sat messager or a plb. Those will allow someone to call for help as long as you have at least a somewhat clear view of the sky

yeah, I hope that you can take your time helping the people out, you could even make a Mr.Beast style video where you go around town helping people.

Just left Pisgah National Park. What a mess! The Davidson River crested nearly 3 feet over cross bridges. All trails closed until further notice. I also went to Du Point which is open as normal. My thoughts and prayers for those enduring evacuation, missing family members and extensive damage in Western NC.

I think “Bonk” was the word you were trying to find for exhaustion… not Zonk (fall asleep). 🤷 Bonk: 3. (of a cyclist or runner) Reach a point of exhaustion that makes it impossible to go further. "I bonked and couldn't pedal another stroke"

Wow Seth! I don't see the news much, so haven't heard of this flooding until now. Thoughts and prayers. You guys are awesome for helping out with supplies and things. They are lucky to have you all in proximity. Great video by the way.

Go Seth, such a good person. Hope all is well sooner rather than later in Canton
