Only problem is that it doesn't work.

Clive : you might be interested to know that rice used to be recommended for drying out electronics. The type of rice recommended was polished rice. The powder that was used for polishing the rice was talcum. There was some residue left in with the rice after polishing which was why it could be useful for drying. Talcum on its own tends to clump when used for drying.
