Very grilled factory high bay light

Ah ok, that would make sense though. I did wonder.

I think there may have been a space between the two sections of the base that ported air from the inner section of the heatsink to the outer fin section. I've actually disposed of the PCB and base, so I only have the heatsink left here. So I can't check that.

Thanks Big Clive. Failure analysis is pretty cool. Things sure got baked. I wonder if the fan failure was part of the cause.

I see those now, but the fan was in the base, and there doesn't appear to be anywhere to vent/draw in any air in the base where the fan is located.

Each of the LED circuit boards has a row of rectangular holes down the middle, not sure about the outer case

I see it had a fan, but were there any ventilation holes/slots in the case?
