What's in the 100A version?
🕑 Added 2025-06-23 02:48:30 +0000 UTCI got one of the 100A versions of the solar charge controllers to compare the circuitry to the original 10A one. You can have a guess at what differences there might be inside.
I also took the opportunity to add notes about comments from the previous charger video.
It appears people have been trying to use them at high current and had bad experiences.

I didn't check the value of the components, and I've justy reassembled the units and stuck them into storage. But going by the track alone I'd not really trust it for anything near 10A.

What about the over-current protection? Is that also the same for the 10 Amp and 100 Amp versions? Different component values on the opamp maybe? Or in the software?

Have you tried shining a UV light on the mosfet to see if the number can be read? it sometimes works, depending on how much they scrubbed them.
