This was a beast to reverse engineer
🕑 Added 2025-06-05 02:07:28 +0000 UTCIt took a long time to fully reverse engineer this unit. At one point I was going to cheat and just give a block diagram, but I really wanted to work out how it controlled the MOSFETs in their back to back configuration.
Let me know if my attempt at describing the circuitry made sense.
This unit might be OK for low power personal solar projects.

Wild. Thanks Big Clive. Thanks for making this video I can see why it took a little while to reverse engineer it. Very understandable (at least as far as my beginner understanding of circuitry)

I've never tried LSD but this vid gives mind expanding a whole new meaning! I guess the mosfets have been scraped to stop amateurs (who would not think of other ways to classify them) from soldering two more in to get 30A capability for a lot less than buying a 30A version.
