I did test and note down the capacity of the cell used in the light, but I've left the data behind at the workbench. I'll try and remember to update the description when I get back from this job.
I think the cell may have been quite low capacity, so worthy of an upgrade.

I was looking forward to the calipers on the battery. Very sad to see they were plastic. Maybe work out what the micro is and replace or reprogram it for customisation ?

Nice. Thanks Big Clive. It's interesting how these have been copied and varied so much. I think I have 5 or 6 of these with only a couple variants bought from when you first took one to bits. I have so many other flashlights - torches - and and I'm thinking I might need a psyche evaluation or something. My dad, as he got up in the years, had a lot of flashlights in various spots around the house. He was an engineer at Stewart Warner in Chicago. This was before we had high power LEDs.
