Tiny downlight with tinier power supply
🕑 Added 2025-10-23 16:10:10 +0000 UTCI mainly bought this to explore the very slim power supply that converts 120/240V to the current regulated supply for the LED.
The construction of the actual downlight is pretty good too, with a sensible retention system.
There is an element of serviceability in that a new LED could be fitted, although it would have to be the 16mm module as opposed to the classic Luxeon star style. There are other downlights that can accommodate the standard Luxeon-star modules.

Out of curiosity, what kind of things do you use as search terms on AE when looking for “interesting” things like the stuff you get in your goodie bags? I’ve tried all sorts of searches, but I’ve not found anything suitably generic to bring back such gadgets.
