I haven't drawn Marlene in ages lol
I figure Uncle wouldn't have the patience for anyone outside of Julien, he isn't looking to make small talk or get to know anyone, he's here to support his nephew and being upset over the tiny food XD
Marlene is the kind of friend who excitedly rambles on about anything and expects people to be just as interested in what she has to say, she kinda drops that Julien was into her and SHE let him go gently lol Uncle isn't buying it tho and really wants her to stop touching him please, thank you!
I watched both seasons of Barry and it gave me a lot of ideas for how Uncle would interact with people, he's a Julien, self centered, he loves being praised, and Henry Winkler is super amazing at portraying those kinds of characters! There are also so many great moments in the show that I'm tempted to animate/animatic but no promises!
Anyway, I figure it takes time for anyone to really befriend Uncle, he doesn't like anyone, the only reason he's here is for his amazingly forgiving nephew, he's still in awe over it and when things don't work out with Zora he falls back on the only other kind of love he's ever had, and that's Julien.
I am so upset, lately I feel like I have no idea how to color and it's I have so much stress over so many things I need to draw it's killing me

Wow! XD It's really been a long time since I last saw the Penguins series that I nearly forgot how Marlene could be quite a motormouth sometimes. I am somewhat surprised that Uncle gave her some mildly curious attention before quickly loosing interest in her. At least he didn't lay it on her as hard as he's been with the penguins. Xp Maybe when he gets more settled in, he might open up a bit more to other people. The zoo is a completely new environment than what he's used to. Also, Marlene looks really cute in your style, and I think this is also the first time I've seen you color her which looks awesome! :D In fact, both she and Uncle look fantastic in your colors. I think you did a wonderful job. :D I am sorry to hear you're having another rough time, but rest assured, Tsu, you're doing just fine. The content you make, regardless of the content, is still fun and amazing and I'm glad you're still making such great pieces for us. ^^The update is more than welcome. Keep it up and stay safe!
