So I drew the 4 panel version on November 1st 2022, I thought I’d take another stab at it 2 years later on November 2nd 2024 (I just looked up the dates, yep almost 2 years exactly).
There is the crumb of an idea there. Maybe I will do it again and finally find the joke on November 3rd 2026.

That’s so funny. That was the first one that I made and decided it was terrible. I think it is a bit stiff but I’m glad you enjoyed it. Maybe I’ll try again sooner :)

I like the second one as it subverts expectations; the reader anticipates that the girl will be saved by the cat, but the last panel got a good chuckle from me.
