She's not a target of mockery now but a comrade in arms - or at least someone else who can appreciate a good bit of verse.We won't see these two again for a while. No one expects the Silver to show up in the form of a dead-eyed and disfigured woman, so this is better than any glamour Quigley ever devised and much more agile than the eel-beast. That's a beautiful monologue from Prakhuta, I wasn't expecting that at all. I can't bring myself to hate Prakhuta after all he's been through. That's one of the things I think you handle deftly: Protagonists and/or sympathetic characters on collision courses with each other. We like Bastion, we like Duane, we like Toma/Elka but they would all kill each other in a second if they met. (oops maybe not Duane/Toma).
