Yep, and Duane can't sense them. He's relying on the kids to find the ones that he can't. He'll show how they mark them in a bit.

Is he just sensing them and it's a "walk in my footsteps" kinda thing? Gonna be hard with all those troops, wagons, dogs.... Or are they supposed to deactivate them, which makes more sense? But the (yes, lovely) art in the last panel seems to show that there are already several behind him -- between him and the little plats.
