The lighting in the first panel gives Duane quite the aura of holiness. It's like a crowded Pieta... though to be accurate to that analogy maybe their positions would need to be reversed, as I feel sure Duane was the one sacrificed. (I haven't decided if Lem is Judas yet, but he definitely isn't Mary.) A lovely image.
