I'm curious if anyone can work out mechanically what's going on. Yeah, Quigley's dancing around an intangible double of himself while Duane tangles him in his cloak, but what'd Duane make the double out of? Look very closely at the double. What was Duane doing two pages ago?
Answer: The double IS a double; if you examine it closely it's a distorted mirrored image of Quigley and is following all his moves. Duane was looking in a window two pages ago at his own reflection in the panes. Now he's using that reflection to mirror Quigley (Specularity Aspect, to use the technical word). Of course the windows are streaked with rain, adding some artful funhouse mirror distortion~

Yes to everything but the glasses - and that's only because Quigley's glasses are pymarics, made out of First Glass, and you can't cast on them. If they were normal glass though, for sure :)

Specularity Aspect being a thing is exciting information. I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but it's new to me and I'm already thinking about applications. Could you manipulate the reflectivity of a window to make a one way mirror? Blind someone by making the snow on the ground reflect the sun more intensely? Keep Quigley from seeing through his glasses?
