This is pretty juicy lore for anyone who's been following the mythology of this world closely. It's pretty close to the version Nanna told Duane in exchange for his Salt Lizard tale, a summary of which we only heard second hand when he went to Lady Ilganyag herself with it. It certainly doesn't make Ilganyag sound like much of a threat to humans. Quite the contrary.

Big contrast between what is said and what we've seen, though. Illganyag manipulates man. I think she sincerely tried to protect the Inak. (Also, both her names are too long; she needs a nickname... Maybe "Issa" or something short?)
