Nobody goes to Hooters for the wings. Plenty of places sell good wings, but choosing to get them at Hooters means you are not there for the wings.

Yeah, Lem seemed to really believe that this needs to be done and it would be cowardly not to do it "just" because it involves murdering children, which makes me worry that this is more "better world" wishful thinking on Duane's part. Although I'd trust Duane's intuitive read on Lem's true intentions more than my own. Or maybe he's trying to lay the groundwork for Lem's life to be spared if the Crescian army gets its mitts on him?
