Coming This Week
🕑 Added 2025-11-10 17:00:21 +0000 UTCHi everyone! ๐๐ป A big welcome to all of the new members who joined in the past week! Thank you so much for being here. ๐ฅฐ
My reaction to 1917 (2019) will be posted here this afternoon. And for the reactions that are coming next...
Movie Watchalongs:
The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982) - a Reactr request from Brad - thank you! When I saw the title I'll admit I thought "Hmm, is this a movie I should be watching?", but I am so glad to have done so in the end!
Superman (2025) - a Reactr request from Bryan - thank you! Bryan was the person who sent in my very first Reactr request, and that was for the 1978 Superman movie!
Field of Dreams (1989) - the winner of my YEAH, SPORTS! poll โพ๐งข
TV Series Watchalongs:
Severance: 2x10 - the finale! ๐ญ And now I have to wait with all of you! But I am so excited to finally discuss theories with you about what Season 3 may have in store for us and I can't wait to re-watch this show.
Band of Brothers: Eps 5 + 6 - my heart isn't ready ๐
Agents of SHIELD: 5x09 + 5x10 - I'm still thinking about the last episodes... ๐
โจ REMINDER!
Important Update โฆ YouTube Schedule + Early Access
My sincere apologies about this, but right now I need to omit the edited reactions from being in the weekly schedules. I'm sorry to have to do this and I intend to bring them back in the schedule when I can. For the next little while, the YouTube edits will just appear here without me communicating they were beforehand. I have to do this because of the current copyright situation on my channel (the worst I've dealt with since starting reactions). It certainly feels like something shifted in the Content ID system on YouTube back in late September. I am trying to figure out a plan with tackling/minimizing these disruptions, which may involve changing my editing style and/or having to resort to watermarks on my edited reactions, and I appreciate your patience as I work through this. ๐๐ป This has been stressful and pretty discouraging for me.
Re: Thunderbolts - I have to move the release of this reaction on the channel to mid-December now, I'm so sorry. After removing around 4 minutes of the reaction to clear up visual claims, which I thought would mean I was good to go, I got hit with a new audio-only claim covering multiple scenes of dialogue in the movie. This was the first time I've experienced this - audio claims were always for scores before. I still want to provide a good video for YouTube viewers, so I'm unwilling to mute all of that dialogue or add drastic pitch changing effects to it, especially when one of the scenes is one of the most emotional conversations in the film. Since Disney ignores disputes and appeals, I know that the claim will come off, it's just a waiting game for that.. and a long one. ๐ Again, I'm so very sorry.
And re: Band of Brothers, which was supposed to begin on YouTube last week... I just need a little more time on these!
Twitch Streams:
I aim to continue again this week, though will update in Discord if streams need to be cancelled. I intend to be live at 18:00 MST on Wednesdays (Dragon Age: The Veilguard) and Thursdays (Red Dead Redemption 2). Last week, I finished Chapter 4 and began Chapter 5 in RDR2!
That's about it for this week! I'll leave you with some pics from when Soka was being cute at the start of a reaction recording recently. Thank you for reading and let me know what you're looking forward to! โค๏ธ Wishing you all the best week ahead.

๐ If You're New Here / Reminders + Links:
Paid Requests via Reactr - currently open for requests
New requests received this week will be delivered just before Christmas
New limitations for the forseeable future: movie must not be longer than 2.5h+ and cannot be the first movie in a new series to me
Suggest Movies + TV Series Here - I consult this often when making my Patreon polls
Free Members / Early Bird Members: access my watchalongs by upgrading to the Movie Watchers tier for movies, or the TV Insiders tier for TV series and movie reactions
You can also bypass the membership altogether. Movies can be unlocked individually, but if they are part of a series then they'll also appear in a purchaseable Collection. TV series are only offered via Collection. Series that aren't yet completed can be purchased now and you will get access to future movies/episodes. I appreciate your support through whichever method works best for you!

If you're a paid Patreon member, make sure to connect your Discord account to Patreon in order to get access to the Patreon space within the server.
I have a basic merch shop if you're ever looking for a new shirt, hoodie, or mug. I will be making another calendar for 2026 and listing that sometime in December.

I think that I would implement a watermark before changing my editing style. It's not something that I'd like to do, but perhaps it is an inevitability at this point. The invisible tools that you speak of are only available for images right now, not for videos (as far as I can tell). Re: Reactr - I've thought about this in the past, but decided against it because long run times aren't a money earned vs. time spent issue, it's truly just a time spent issue. Long run times add hours of extra work for myself and for my editor and sometimes that is harder to fit in, so there will be times where I want to avoid them. This is one of those times, since I watched six long movies in the last month or so (five of which my editor worked on back-to-back, so I want to give him a break), and Band of Brothers is adding an extra movie reaction worth of time to every week right now. The longer runtime limitation will probably be removed once Stranger Things 5 is completed (just after the New Year), since I know that some of those episodes are going to be the length of a movie too. ๐ Re: movie series - Perhaps I need to clarify in the offering descriptions that I'm referring to trilogies or more, where the general audience would want and expect all or most of the movies to be watched (I'm thinking of Indiana Jones, Rocky, The Bourne movies, Planet of the Apes, etc). The reason for this is because I have a plan to tackle well-loved series, which will start in December or January. A movie that has a sequel, and especially one that is generally considered mediocre/bad, is not something that I would put a firm no on. I imagine that both Speed and Independence Day would have qualified for this if I hadn't already reacted to them, because I remember most people telling me not to bother with their sequels. All this said, my preference for Reactr is still stand-alone films moving forward. Thanks for the questions!

You're speaking from a personal place, but I will say, FWIW, I don't mind at all when film footage has a watermark or something on it. I think people understand that these are concessions for copyright. I know they have invisible filters to protect art from being fed into an AI. I wonder if layering a bunch of those on something has any impact on copyright detection algorithms? Also, you are probably currently feeling like you don't want to watch longer movies for the time being regardless, but I think it'd be pretty reasonable if you had another tier on your Reactr page that was limited to 1 at a time like before, where you charged a little extra for a 2.5+ hour movie. Maybe an idea to implement in the future, if you find that appealing. One question that comes to mind re: movies that start a series (although I don't actually have any in mind, this is just a hypothetical), would it matter if the "series" is, say, two movies, and the requester has no desire for you to see the second one? Feels like there are many movies out there where the original was great, and then there was an unsuccessful attempt to turn it into a series that nobody liked.
