Oooh thank you!! This definitely gives me more theory material on the khert !

Not all of them, but it's very common. A khert-hub requires an enormous amount of intact First Material. The most common source of this is the remain of a senet beast. Using a fossil that's already in a prime location is just good engineering :)
Does this mean all Khert hubs are anchored to the remains of sennet beasts? (Assuming that's what the biggest femur and green spine are indeed said fossils)
Well, my inner nihilist has definitely been gaining strength. (I need to concentrate on building up my usual inner existentialism.)

Cutter is a very cathartic character, I think. He's the hopeless, hateful nihilist in us all, and he feels particularly indulgent because he's not even human. He's outside of us, looking in at all our garbage; enough a part of it to have personal knowledge of how awful we are, but also alien enough to judge us with some detached objectivity.
Does it mean something terrible about me that I sometimes understand Cutter? That line about it being on everyone's forehead sort of resonated with me at this particular moment in History. Beautiful and creepy artwork all at once. Lovely.
