And Lady Ilganyag? She is inside the khert physically, and alive. She can't shake off an injury like her little daughter, or even undead Murkoph can. If she's alive, she's grievously broken.

They're only physical in the khert, I'm afraid. That's where memories manifest. Outside, they can only haunt and reform particles, and the khert is always trying to yank them back into itself. That's why Sette needs a gang and zombie protector in the really real world :)

I reeally want Sette's pulled memories to be physical because the implications would be awesome, but this silver might just be physical in the khert, like Murkoph's clothes
LordOfChains
Wait… if Ilganyag winds up eating crow, would that be cannibalism?
Penny Nicoles
I wondered for a moment if the claws were the same as the silver, but yeah, no. They’re part of her. I get it now.
Ashley
She used her claws to help rip out the memory. Otherwise not sure whatcha mean?

Pour one out for the poor construct-maker who, plumbing the khert one day for memories to make a Beadman's Cheerful Chum Coffeepot, runs across this crime scene.
Penny Nicoles
Is this the same kind of thing as her newfound palm-claws? Or is it totally different from that?

Bird-bones got shattered for sure, very satisfying for the mastermind playing everyone to get blindsided by something completely outside expectations. And firstSette still manages one heck of a menacing silhouette in that last panel.

Well done

That is... SUCH a big chunk of memory and the implications scare me D8 I mean, if it's ALL memory of the silver from its very root, that's. Hmm. Yikes. Also, interesting First doesn't seem to know about (or remember) this as an ability! Always such an innovator, our Set, though I suppose she's had the extra time to figure out those tricks.

“How did you do that.”— notice how that wasn’t a question.
Ladile
Oh Khette, perhaps there are things your mother has kept from you? That or Sette's extended time with the First Soul and/or her own hard life has granted her a unique ability.

Pocket sand! Pocket sand! Pocket sand!

Good question, Sette. I mean the other Sette. No that Sette.
Fitzy
Since when does Sette abide by stoopid silent protagonist rules?
Stretch Andrews
Well this took an interesting turn. I am very curious about the effects tearing out such a big memory has on Sette.
Michael Stakely
Grievously broken sounds like the kind of pain that would draw the deep interest of every single smoke eel in the area.

RIP Sette, long live Sette!
Ashley
Bad form!
Mister Scarecrow
"If she's alive, she's grievously broken." Good.
The Clag
The most satisfying impact sound in hundreds of pages.
Fitzy
Quick, Sette, attack her while she's in the mid-phase-transition cutscene!
