I’m starting to think Murkoph isn’t human and never was. Maybe he’s wearing the face of a man who was once named Murkoph? But whatever is wearing that face, it’s something else. There’s just something about the way he talks here… and the way he’s historically liked collecting odd bits and baubles from other memories, like the dog fangs for teeth and the pants he stole elsewhere. But where’d those red eyes come from, I wonder? I think they might be original.

Murkoph? Murkoph's not a memory ghost, so he isn't toooo terribly afraid of Sette's claws. Even so, Sette's not here right now :)

I've tried to keep it reasonably synced. Sette took a little nap after Jac licked her hands, so we have some extra time to work with. If Duane hurries, he might get back to her before Sessine excapes and ends the world. Maybe!

Now that I think of it, is Duane actually in a hurry? I realise now I am not sure how exactly khert-time works. Does spending time memory-gazing actually put Sette into more danger?.. Or are those events disconnected timeline wise if Duane and Sette are separated?

To keep him sane, more than "in check." But that does help keep him in check since he can't control himself without that help. Murk calls his insanity "confoundments." We'll learn more about him and what that even means in the future.
