There was discussion ages and ages ago about how you couldn't just stick another soul into someone else's body because it would result in madness. You'd have the wrong soul interacting with the wrong brain. Khette seems to think she can get away with it. So perhaps there's a workaround only she is privy to. I will point out to my fellow readers that we have a conveniently empty or mostly-empty body on hand in the form of Roger Foi-Hellick. Given Tirna's red and black imagery, sticking the spirit claiming to be Tirna in the body of a red man who willingly sacrificed himself has some... poetry.

I like Duane immediately accepting this as Tyrna and just taking her word for it. Nevermind that she looks like Sette, she says she's god, she must be god. It really shows how much trust has fallen in our current society that you get away with telling people that you're god anymore.

Not the way I expected Khette to hitch a ride back to the real world, scooching in to share a space WITHIN Duane's body. Still, I'm holding out hope for at least some kind of interference to save out attack zombie here. You can't do my poor boy like this! And the chapter is called Sette Ex Machina after all...

I can only imagine ghost!Sette to the side dragging claws down her face like, now? NOW you listen to any damn thing I have to say on gods? NOW? WITH HER? Truly Sette Frummagem exists to suffer. (Frankly I worry too that First might be shedding enough memories to forget her own origin, make the story she tells her own reality. Good way to forget an Achilles Heel or its like.)

Not that Lady I didn't lie constantly but wearing something like a scarf isn't the same as it being part of your body. Especially if you don't have the nautical upbringing to know how to tie a proper knot to make sure it stays there.
