@L Anon Yes I did. But that page wasn't uploaded in full resolution to Patreon. Sometimes the Patreon version is different when she does something special on the website so wasn't sure if the page skip here was intentional or not.

BTW, I just noticed that if you click on the back arrow on page 212, you go all the way back to the title page of chapter 1. Which makes sense in a way, because Boo found Sette's ghost behind that page, but is still a bit surprising if you just want to get to page 211 to repeat Boo's meta-journey...

I feel like Sette has plenty of bad days with Nary- we saw her fall into her own memories just this chapter and the moments we saw were ABOUT Nary- and they were very bad days. When it comes to Da, there's a lot of Choosing Sette does, I think, rather than ripping. I'm sure she's ripped out plenty of bad days with Da, but I think she also holds a complete picture of him within her- and she chooses to love him anyway because that's her Da. Which might be an interesting contrast to Khette and not loving HER father-- how she chooses to hate p much everybody.

I'd been cringingly bracing for Sette's demise just long enough to build up some emotional calluses, but "then weren't never seen no more" is getting me under the ribs. Not even a body left outside for the living to find and mourn.

Apologies for getting extremely meta, but is there a common name for the "bang path" (to use some utterly ancient email terminology) style of character contextualization (ghost!Duane here)? It reminds me of USENET discourse and makes me wonder how this convention has evolved and transformed over the years.

Yep, still the khert. We've seen scenery similar to this in there before, usually when a ghost is very much wrapped up in themselves.

Just like ghost!Duane is his glowy green self if he's not attempting to project anything else, this is Sette's default ghost form. Mostly red, half black face. It's how she was made.

I love the expressions on this page. Both Sette's, particularly that utterly haunted look she has in the middle panel that really sells the dread of the moment, and Boo's, who is doing his Booiest best to try and cheer her up by expressing how happy he is to see her.

Sette thinking about her Da in these moments drives me nuts. Nary doesn't deserve a girl like Sette, but he's got her. Ooouugghh. Poor Sette... Poor Sette Baby... You can find the way out, I believe in you!
