I never know what the broad reader opinion is on Emil's domestic concerns but the way they contrast with a large bird woman trying to rewrite reality and a girl with a tail finding out she has super powers always delights me. It's at the same time ridiculous and grounding.
But yeah, wonder where the Captain is?

You know, Emne here makes me really think of a line from Umineko- “without love it cannot be seen”. Emne throws around these accusations and talks about the impact on her and Chea of Emil’s absence- which I don’t doubt there’s a great deal of impact! Running away from your problems and avoiding them is never a good thing, and however odious Emne is she as a person does indeed deserve closure and consideration… but god lady, you don’t got no love in you, so you can’t extend charity. You can’t make kind assumptions instead of cruel ones. You can’t see the truths that exist outside your narrow selfishness. I hope Emil gets primary custody in the divorce!
