I had to look up "darbied" and "gozzy" but I think they're Briitish slang for "handcuffed" and "slime/snot" respectively. Thus my best guess is Sette is saying summat like: "It tasted wrong, almost fearfully so - Duane was stripped naked, shackled; they've stolen his arms and legs, and he's bound both pymarically and with ropes, trapped like a breadcrumb in snot."

Looks like Jivi should be reading "A brief course on the Sharte mind (and language)" instead... I had her until "they're crashin' him" (she's used that often enough unfortunately), but then I lost it.

Yep! "Sunny palmery" is specifically unwanted pymary because it's blasting "sunlight" into a rogue's necessary shade.

It's a mix of Earthian thieves cant and Sharteshanian specific cant. It's explicable, but you gotta think like a Sharte ;)

I'm particularly glad that Jivi was present to hear Sette's speech. Not only was it authentic Sharteshane gibberish but it expressed a cunning seldom seen in this day and age in Cresce.
