How To Make A French 75 (NYE cocktail)
🕑 Added 2016-12-29 19:06:24 +0000 UTC The French 75, named after an artillery gun due to its kick, makes for a great celebratory cocktail. Think of it as a Tom Collins but with sparkling wine instead of soda water.

Thanks Tammy! Cocktail garnishes have been around since cocktail books existed, starting with Jerry Thomas's "How to mix drinks" in 1862. Back in the day, things like limes were harder to come by so bartenders tried to use everything about the fruit. So the peels were removed, and the oils expressed over the drinks.

Your garnishes are always lovely. Were cocktails originally garnished? If so with what?
