Missed the AMA and the class, but watched the video. This is awesome, hope to catch the next one!

It's on my list to make the perfect G&T from Dave Arnold's liquid intelligence book, which does involve quinine syrup and carbonating your drink. Note that too much can be dangerous. Hopefully will have that out sometime this year

This is true! In fact you should check out my interview with Camper English who put out a book on the history of G&T https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9gZPZH8wZg

Gin and tonics used to be much stronger when the drink's purpose was to genuinely treat/cure British explorers malaria. When natural quinine bark became expensive, and synthetic pills were developed as a more cost effective cure, tonic water lost a lot of the quinine. My question would be what does a heavy quinine gin and tonic taste like? I wanted to buy quinine extract online and couldn't tell what would actually be representative of old tonic water quinine. How does one get a hold of a liquid time machine to an 1800's gin and tonic? It would be a fun adventure. And then you could make your favorite modern alternative if you wanted.
