Yeah, I agree. I think this puzzle is great, and if I was still playing with my group, I would definitely use it.

Nice, i love puzzles. I've tried to make a few myself but i end up going one of two directions - either its dummy-simple and they guess it first turn first round, or its so obscure we end up having to have me apologize for being obtuse and give them so many hints that it might as well not have been a puzzle. I've stopped making them progression based cause i seem to hit one of the two extremes. This is a really smart way to do it, make a set of rules around a simple set of controls, make the hint the 'instruction' so to speak, and then make the solving of the puzzle the application of the instruction to the controls at hand.
