A question about the Frummagems: there's a pretty strong correlation between crime and lack of economic opportunity, which in and of itself correlates to societal discrimination - people who can't legitimately get ahead tend to do more crime. But Sharteshane seems pretty laissez-faire about, well, everything, and Nary is legitimately bored and angry about what he sees as his own limited opportunities. What on earth is limiting him? He's got money, and intra-Sharteshanian discrimination doesn't seem to be a thing, which might otherwise keep him in a criminal position that he clearly doesn't want to be in. Why not transition into a more legitimate business and bring along the family, leaving the members who aren't interested to run criminal operations? Even if the Beadmans are too ruthless to compete with in Sharteshane itself (they seem to be the robber baron sort), why not expand into the non-superpower countries as an alternative? It seems altogether saner than doing scutwork for revolutionaries and madmen. (An aside: I recognize that this is a fairly long-winded way of saying "I disapprove of Nary's strategic business planning.")

Question: In the side story about Vienne, you wrote a few paragraphs describing Matty and Vienne seemingly sensing the content of the memory-ghost, like they were immersed in that memory. Is that a plat-specific thing, or something all Kasslynians can accomplish? And how do ghosts look like to Bastion?

(The short stories were great so the universe seems very expandable) - Would you like or allow something like that to be? How protective are you of Unsounded?

I love Duane being kind to magical monsters, such as the Wandering Root and Bett's conjured beastie. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that.
