This makes me want the book to have fold out paper segments, like those old pop-up books. God, that would be amazing, and also prohibitively expensive.

They're coming out of the piano. It's a sort of mood piano, haha. It produces visualisations to match the mood of what's being played upon it. Now the imagery on the next page, that'll be a bit more surreal, and in Bastion's head.

This entire section is brilliant! I love watching Bastion work the room, hopefully he can maintain control and Darkest Paul is embarrassed into silence vs trying to upstage him (not sure if that's even possible at this point). Are the visions (either just the first eel lightshow or the later scenes) coming out of the piano pymary or just for us readers to see?
