That's exactly why it's a Plat. Bastion designed this particular entrance - it's his, it's not the main way in - as an irreverent gesture towards the gods. He and his brethren imagine themselves essentially raping the world for the benefit of humanity, taking what they want from Yerta every day and discarding all the Gefendur baggage. Whether Yerta exists/existed/never existed is immaterial. She's a symbol of the rich, mysterious, vulnerable natural world, and Bastion lives to stick his black tongue in that, metaphorically speaking.

I bet they do propaganda posters with plats bc plats seem the most alien (and threatening). Also, I can't tell if that kissy-kissy is supposed to be a "fuck you, yerta" (in a bad way), 'cause the Gefendur seem alright with sex toys of their god, Or a cool symbolic way of saying he's "entering reality/the world" or whatever, based off the Geffie legend, to go along with the Ilganyag fixation on discovery.
Bastion's fashion sense is eclectic. Long sleeves and a hood? Check! The rest of the shirt? Why bother?
