It's a long story.Getting stuck apprenticed to Thierry Delicieu was both a wonderful and terrible thing in the long run, but it did make Delicieu's Two-Toe test subjects' lives marginally less miserable. Bastion was the only human in Juste who treated them with any degree of respect or compassion.
And it did get him backhanded from time to time.

And obviously when I say, "I think you are right" I'm speaking to EmpAl, since Ashley has an unfair advantage that renders debating her pointless. Also, she isn't stating a position so much as toying with our tiny mortal minds... Or just opening them up to myriad possibilities. (Same thing.)
I guess that would explain Bastion's continuing loyalty to "Delicieu," as he must feel some guilt for his complicity. I think that you are right: it makes more sense for Cutter to be Prakhuta than Delicieu. But I still think it's a teeny tiny bit possible that Cutter is somehow a melding of P and D both. We shall see, I suppose. Someday!
Could be. Lots of humans hate humans too, though.

Oh... Well then I'd feel bad for him. But would you tell us that if it was true? Or maybe they somehow melded together? That might explain some of the crazy. Mysteries indeed!

Who's to say Prakhuta didn't assume Delicieu's identity? In which case, what actually happened to the real Delicieu? Or you could have it right after all. Mysteries.
I don't think he did though. If I'm understanding correctly, somehow Delecieu just took on the lizard's form. Who knows what actually happened to Prakhuta...,?

Well, the experiment was clearly successful, since Prakhuta became a Black Tongue.
That's horrid. Those poor two-toes. Stupid Delicieu clearly got what he had coming to him...
