Before he entered I had considered a brief few panels of Bastion putting some funky stuff under his nose to block the smell, like they use in movies, but a bit of research revealed that stuff doesn't actually exist; it's just a visual trick by filmmakers to show off the local stank.Cutter's a dick and highly troubled but his disdain for everyone makes me laugh.

But Ashley... You do know talking lizards don't actually exist, right? Or little girls with tails? Or polite nationalist zombies? If there can be SINGING BUTTS there can be a bad smell removing spell (or potions). ANYTHING in Kassalyne can exist if you create it, and see that it is good (or bad, for that matter). You are A GOD. I think the peppermint stuff that doctors wipe under their noses is real. Read about it on Reddit but everything has a chance of being fake I guess.
