Decided I could answer the question and finally flesh the character out a bit since I really like drawing reptiles.This was supposed to be a quick image but I ended up trying really hard to make it look as nice as I could. I'm really new to speech bubbles and presentation for these kinda things so it takes me longer to find solutions for em!

Hey thanks for answering this! I think the reptiles are pretty cool, but seeing more types of them show up a couple times in the sketch packs did make me apprehensive that they were planning an invasion or something haha! This is really cute picture and the speech bubbles were actually pretty fun! I like the color change to grey, and the dark streaks; conveys Nancy's sad expression perfectly!

I do imagine her having some romantic interest in Emelie! Or maybe just some sort of attraction. She's not a very sexual character tho so I don't think I'll draw her in that kinda situation. I think odd crushes/romantic interests are fun because you tend not to imagine monstrous characters having those kinda thoughts, you generally expect it to be the other way around!

So the gator is a girl? Huh, neat. I do kinda find it odd that her thoughts are "friend zone", unless she has legit romantic thoughts towards our cute lil' pig gal. I thought maybe her thoughts would be something like "Wait, they think I'm a guy? Really? Whuh?"
