Sturgeon Base Suit
🕑 Added 2021-02-28 07:44:16 +0000 UTCHey friends! That February crunch is real especially given the fact that I had a bit of a late start to the month and that February is shorter (who thought that was a good idea?), but I got the base frame wrapped up and that was the hard part xD
Should be wrapping up the secondary stuff and mounting weapons tomorrow~
Whatcha think? This Battlesuit has a "Base Frame" that I'm gonna be using in two other similarly classed Battlesuit that I have some...real good ideas for. I'm really quite pleased with how it all came together~
A couple of quick clarifications here: This suit can be built in either an open or closed format. It isn't something that can be built one way, and swapped too later. I intended the open cockpit mostly for diorama bases/pieces. But people do wild things with stuff like this so I look forward to seeing what people come up with.
This is also in no way a small kit. In the 4 arm config with just what you see here, is approximately 60pcs the largest set I've done yet xD I'll do my best to make up a set of instructions that is for the most part, easy to follow~
Now another thing to go over. This is a collab between me and Crucible Of Games. Give 'em a look if you haven't, they've got some rad stuff. I reached out to them to see if they'd want to do some pilot sculpts for this, and they were all about it~ (Which is good cause I don't know if that part would have happened otherwise xD)
That said, the Sturgeon Battlesuit will be releasing the beginning of March (pre-supports and plates following as I get the files back from Atlas), while the 2pi Operators will be releasing later on in the month~ There will be a handful of poses for the operators so look forward to that.
It was a rough start to the month, but we're rolling ahead with the good suits, and thanks as always for your continued support, you all have been wonderful to me while I was recovering.
I hope you all enjoy this kit, it's a big one.

I've pretty much got myself scheduled out for the year, but after that the intent is to move onto the drones/vehicles~ I've never really tried my hand at making bases, but I'm not so sure how or what I would model for that with Fusion/CAD. Any examples come to mind?
