Hi, first off I have to start off with saying happy new year! I always forget that most supporters haven't joined the Discord server (which is for the better anyway) so I should keep you up to date. Unfortunately last month I suffered from a huge failure toward the end of the month that left two of my project files I was working on corrupt. I wanted to try and redo everything before the end of the month but couldn't bring myself to do any work, I was just too stressed and figured I should take a break for a while. Now I'm back though and already have worked my way to where I was near the end of last month progress wise so things can go on as planned.
As a warm up (and as a birthday gift) I made this short animation featuring Sansyo's Kitsune OC. This animation was made in 60FPS which makes it look super smooth but unforunately also doubles the amount of labor needed to get the animation done. It is a very important practice animation for VR projects though, which I'm sure you're gonna be seeing a lot more of in the future. Speaking of which,
2023 has a lot of big exciting projects that will see the light of day like Aegir, GGEX, the office twins, or most importantly, our big VR project that I can't wait to talk about, I'm really really excited for it!
For this month though, I am going to be posting a mega Fischl animation and the first chunk of Aegirnear the end of the month, for real this time. Thank you very much again for your trust and your support and thank you for reading my wall of text!!

Got to 'hand' it to her, the bell tinkle brings that festiveness that feels right to ring in the new year π with a happy one wished to you as well! Taking breaks and making up progress is all a part of the process, while cases of mishaps do happen from time to time. As always your decision, to take a step back and return with fresh mind and perspective, was the best. You've shown this can and should be done. I'm glad to hear that you took the necessary steps to keep yourself in good health. Saying that, I hope you had a wonderful time off! What with the video itself acting as a teaser of what's to come and a wonderful demo piece, there's no shortage of things to look forward to in the year ahead. Sucks about the files getting corrupted - after I once had a song I worked on for about 50-60 hours get corrupted I bought an external harddrive where every second save gets sent. Best purchase I've done - saved my ass 3 times since

The animation is excellent, the fluidity helps a lot, the details of the environment are very colorful and pleasant to see, the interactions and their reactions are applauded, the effort in this animation is clearly visible. You may have lost some work but the experience gained in the process is always more valuable. Life is full of ups and downs, whatβs most important is how you react to them, are you going to let a low change who you are? No. Mistakes are necessary and itβs wise to be thankful for the hurdles life brings us. Love your work btw, maybe dabble into some buttcrush scenes at some point?? Donβt stress too much over your animations. I understand the trials and tribulations that come with such detailed and large at scale world building. Or world destruction more like :)

Happy New Year to you too! It is hard to get back to a project when some technical problem or out right crash happens. It's like motivation just drains away with the loss. I know the times it happens when I am writing and I lose work I find it hard to get going again. But you do and its great. Thank you for continuing your work, it is very much appreciated!

So it was a technical issue as one of the things I thought might have happened. I'm at least glad it wasn't some bad personal issue that got to you. That's good to know though. I found it hard to believe that it would be taking you so long with no updates for no particular reason. Hopefully, it's smooth sailing from here. Still super excited for the Aegir video. π
