The matrix is something you’ll definitely have to watch. But Shawshank is such a great movie that doesn’t have the hype that the matrix does. It’s a little bit more subtle, it’s a lot of nuances that build to a great conclusion. You’ll definitely cheer and cry and love it! Think Green Mile without the metaphysical aspect.

Oooo maybe after I finally get into The Matrix I can jump into that recommend since there's a hidden reference! Now that my film list has been expanding, it's really fun to be able to spot more references to things in movies. Like The Martian and it's LoTR AND MCU references!! So awesome getting inside jokes within films completely unrelated ✨

All good choices! I added my vote. 'The Secret life Of Walter Mitty' is one movie I'd recommend for one of your future polls. :) it's one of my favorite movies. Very inspiring, underrated, and a feel good movie. Plus a hidden The Matrix reference in it.

The matrix is really hard to follow. I remember I saw that in the theaters that’s how old I am. And I was like what the hell is this? So if you like movies that are really complicated and difficult to follow then. Otherwise. Both the patriot and Shawshank redemption are great, but they are emotional. The Terminator is just straight up sci-fi fun so it’s up to you. I’m gonna watch it with you no matter what so
