🕑 Added 2025-06-19 20:00:08 +0000 UTCThis episode felt like everything finally busted at the seams. And there was no stitching things back to the way they were. Trust was broken, lines were crossed, and people were finally being honest about their own beliefs.
Starbuck choosing to go against Adama stung. But honestly, I can't blame her for choosing to run with a desperate act of faith after finding out Adama's lie about Earth. It felt like watching a child walk away from their parent because they realized the lies they were told to sleep better at night. And I couldn't unsee Adama's disappointment and heartbreak realizing Starbuck chose Roslin's side. The walls he built to keep everything running smoothly are slowly beginning to crumble and he just isn't sure how to stop it from happening.
But Roslin and her transformation has me clinging onto the same hope that Starbuck felt. It's crazy, but could it be possible? I can feel Roslin stepping into something bigger than herself, and it's both powerful but kind of scary. She leans into faith and prophecy in such a bold way that I can't help but feel the recklessness of it. She is the President, after all. But she isn't the same Roslin we met at the very beginning. She wears the armor of faith now, fully. And part of me is cheering her on! But another part is so nervous about where this is all going.
Honestly, everything felt like it shifted in this Part 1 of the Season finale. It's clear that this isn't just a show about escaping danger and surviving anymore. It's about faith, prophecy, identity, betrayal, and what we do when the people we love disappoint us. There are no easy answers left. Only hard questions. And I think that's what I love the most about this show.
Can't wait to wrap it all up in Part 2!

Oh yeah, he definitely knew Sharon was a Cylon. The computer turned Red and he lied to her and kept the information for himself. And that's what made the speech he gave her that much harder to listen to. And true and good point about him trying to get rid of the threat with Six. He really is driven so much by fear and ego than any real loyalty to anything/anyone but himself. He always makes wonder how much of what he does it out of survival vs actual belief in anything lol

Yes, exactly! Hope is really the only currency left in a world like this. It's heartbreaking and beautiful that Adama knew that and made the call to create hope in a dark time. Even if it meant bending the truth. And I totally felt that for Roslin, too. When you're facing the end, and everything around you is falling apart into chaos, turning to faith feels so deeply human. It's not about answers, but something to hold on to. Something to give once you are gone.. And YES that intro was sooo good to this episode! And really set the tone for the finale's 2 parter. You could just feel the season ending being built up into something big. I can't wait for Season 2 after this finale!!

I think with Baltar, he knew Sharon was a Cylon from the blood tests. I think with the warning from Caprica Six about something bad happening to the Galactica, he thought he could get rid of a threat by encouraging her to do it.

Hope. When you're in a world like this, living day to day just to survive, hope's all you got. And that's totally why Adama made up that he knew where Earth is. At the same time, for someone like Roslin, who knows Adama's claim to Earth is a lie, and who's life is nearing the end, I completely get why she turned to religion. To give her that hope. Something to believe it. So interesting how everything this season finally built to this point! Also, the intro of this episode is so good! The way it panned through all those parallel scenes with that amazing music playing. So well done! In general, it was also just very cool seeing the Adama's sparring haha
