Loki | S1 E6 | Full Reaction
🕑 Added 2025-06-11 23:00:20 +0000 UTCWhat a finale. This episode left me with so many thoughts and feelings. Wonder, heartbreak for Loki, and a many more questions than answers. It was FULL of deep conversations that left my head spinning. Everything we've been building towards this entire season- the mystery of the TVA, Loki's personal growth, Sylvie's revenge- it all came crashing down in such a heavy way.
And the dynamic between Loki and Sylvie was the heart of it all. Watching them fight, not out of selfishness, but because of who they've become on this journey, was devastating to watch unfold. Loki begging for caution was such a huge change from the trickster we met in Episode 1. And Sylvie shoving him away? My heart broke for him. She got what she wanted, but it costed her literally everything. Including trust.
The final scene leaves me excited for Season 2. Loki, back at the TVA, but it's much different than the one he left. There are so many questions now, and I feel like we're just scratching the surface of something massive. He Who Remains HAS to be a bigger part of the MCU, possibly even up there with Thanos?
Next, I'll be jumping into The Falcon and the Winter Soldier! I'm VERY ready to shift the tone. I absolutely loved my time in WandaVision and Loki, but it'll be fun to shift from cosmic timelines to something grounded with real-world consequences again! See you all there ✨

It's too bad Marvel dropped the actor who played Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors was caught beating his girlfriend. And so, Marvel did not want this actor in any more Marvel movies. You see, the next big villain in the MCU was supposed to be Kang the Conqueror. Since the MCU dropped Majors, they had to change to Dr. Doom being the next big villain.

You're never too late to the party! Thanks for such an awesome and insightful comment. This finale really gave me a lot to think about and I really enjoyed it for that! You summed up that central dilemma pretty perfectly. "Kill the dictator, and what takes his place?" That line cuts deep every time. It's one of those moments that actually make you sit with your thoughts and realize how tangled the ideas of freedom, control, and responsibility actually are. And you're right- It's uncomfortable to consider something even worse could be next. But that's what makes the ending so effective! It really makes you sit in these questions. I'm really excited (and a bit nervous!) for Season 2 knowing that it holds up or even surpasses the first! Loki's growth has been one of the most rewarding character arcs to follow and I loved that this season was afraid to slow down and really explore his emotional journey. It was beautiful for that! See you in Falcon/Winter Soldier next! I'm really excited to dive in this week!

I'm a bit late to the party, but I loved your reaction to this finale! I really enjoy watching you turn over every detail and question everything. This finale is particularly great for that, because it really does keep you guessing right up until the last moment. And it makes sense. You almost don't want to believe what He Who Remains is saying. Freedom is the ultimate good, so it's easy to want to prioritize it even if he's being genuine. But then you run into the question, "kill the dictator, and what takes his place?" Such a deep-cutting line. What could be worse than a dictator? Most people probably wouldn't want to consider that there may be a very real answer to that question. Can't wait for you to start Season 2. There aren't many shows I'm which I can say that the second season is just as good, if not better than the first, but Loki is exceptional. You can tell they put a lot of thought and heart into this series, and Loki's personal transformation is really inspired, unfolding layers to a character that already had so many to begin with. Something that will really bake your noodle - is everything we are watching in Phase 4 part of the sacred timeline or is it an alternate timeline? This Loki's journey in this show started before Endgame concluded. Are the events of WandaVision the sacred timeline or is it an alternate timeline inadvertently created by Sylvie killing He Who Remains? Are the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier part of the sacred timeline or an alternate timeline? Does it even happen on the same timeline as Wandavision? 🤯 By his own admission, He Who Remains is a villain. But he genuinely seems to believe he is the least bad of his variants. In his mind, preserving a singular universe is infinitely better than trying to conquer multiple universes. He believes he is trying to prevent the multiversal war that created the situation he finds himself in to begin with. But at the actual end of time Sylvie's actions make possible this multiversal war to occur.
