Love the reaction. I dont think Qi'ra turned on Han. She just knew that this was the life she chose and that the only way to really protect Han was to stay and blame it all on Beckett. She loves Han, but that didn't mean she could leave with him. A very underrated film, right there with Rogue One as the best since the OT.

I can't wait for your reaction to the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor series that take place between Episodes III and IV. I'm sure it's already been recommended, but before you move on to the shows that take place between Episode VI and Episode VII, you should react to the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. I think you'll get more from The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett and Ahsokaif you watch those first. Clone Wars is a bit longer but the episodes are short you can find lists for the import episodes to watch for each season so you can do a condensed version.

I’m not sure if maybe this is where you heard the term, but Crimson Tide was a movie from 1995 with Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman that was pretty well known…just a thought 😊

This is only the second time I've seen this. It was much better this time. I saw it first in the theater so I think all the negativity surrounding TLJ got transferred to Solo and it affected my first watch. Two other factors pulled this one down too. I think it was released at the same time as one of the big Marvel movies. Shortly after it released (maybe even after the opening weekend) Disney announced they were canceling other planned "A Star Wars Story" movies. So they never really gave Solo its due. Actually this was fun and definitely felt like Star Wars as much as Rogue One did. I would honestly watch a movie involving Qi'ra, Darth Maul, and Crimson Dawn against the other criminal syndicates and Enfys Nest. That would've been bad ass! It was great to see the origin of Han and Chewie and after a second viewing I really liked the actor for Han. I do think he's very young compared to the Han we see in Episode IV, but this experience of being betrayed by both Beckett and Qi'ra explains a lot about his character later.
