Cut his throat while he sleeps. Everything we've seen suggests that magic requires a conscious effort when it comes to directly protecting one's self, and Jim hasn't shown any aptitude when it comes to longer-lasting enchantments. Which means that when sleeping he's no more powerful than he would've been before entering the pocket world.

Hm. But it's not clear how we'll get rid of Jimmy-boy. Bringing him back to the real world won't work... only thing I can think of is that ultimately, they might have to set up a second pocket world, re-erase the memories... or just erase Jim's. Definitely restrict his magic, the way everyone else in the pocket is restricted.
