🕑 Added 2017-12-04 03:37:33 +0000 UTCHey! First, sorry I've kind of slammed you with updates today, but the recent request sketch thing I did has me thinking about how this reward tier and how it's handled so far.
It's been fun doing polls so far for pin-ups! Though the results aren't always super interesting to me.
On the other side of that, I had a lot of fun doing the sketches I just picked from all your suggestions myself, but I don't know if that's something you patrons would be into each month. Not the sketches part, just the me picking which pin-ups to do part.
I can see benefits to both. The voting is fun and gets lots of input on who should win, but taking from requests in the moment means all the requests are fresh in people's minds, and me picking means it'll definitely be something I'm interested in drawing.
So I'd like to know your thoughts, vote for which way you think sounds better. I think even if polling wins, I'm going to have to re-think how I do the polls. Or if you don't like either idea, feel free to comment with an alternative, though I'll say ahead of time I'm not interested in doing any kind of raffle.
Let me know your thoughts!
Oh and one more thing while we're here. Pretty soon I'm going to change up how I distribute stuff on the NSFW tier. The big thing with that is I'm going to do away with the limited-time "VERY NSFW" messages, and just post those to the main feed! Plus I'll be releasing a zip file with all the old very NSFW images that lots of patrons haven't gotten to see! Look for that sometime later this week probably!

I think the request experiment worked very well, but you don't need to marry yourself to one particular method. I think as long as you're clear as to what you're doing from month to month, it should be fine.

I like how you did the recent set of sketches from requests and then took a poll on which of those to follow up with a pin up of. It is kind of like the best of both worlds

I would probably find ways to do polls for things that aren't just "pick which character I do" though they would definitely become less frequent.

I feel polls add more perks to being a patreon, but that the results will be better if handpicked, so gotta go handpicked.

Wow, I'm not sure what kind of ratio I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't 1:0 in favor of hand picked. That said, I'm not surprised.

I say hand picked from a list of our suggestions. Would definitely rather see you draw things you’re interested in...this should be fun for everyone!
