oh sweet, looks like you've got a POWER4. This is what I picked up for my p5: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225021336395 I'll ask some folks to double check what would work in that 615.

The IBM I picked up on eBay arrived and is actually a NIB pSeries 615 that looks exactly like your p5. So, where do get the disk drive adapter?
clabretro
haha thank you! yeah that could be cool actually

What? The CEO of CRHL Networks and TV Stations will be outta town for 2 Weeks? Well, I guess business is business. 😂 Jokes aside, these smaller videos aren't sloppy, they are really the teaser you can hook us with. As a future Idea, maybe you should start collecting questions with a hashtag attached in the comments so you could filter them and then a patreon version of it. That is if you are comfy sharing some IRL Stuff, if you're not that's perfectly fine and don't feel pressured. Cheers!

Pretty sure I did my cert on a 2911
clabretro
ah interesting! I figured they were roughly that era

appreciate it! it's funny how this older Cisco gear still remains relevant

haha I've only heard bad things. I think many years ago in school they had a Netware setup. I'll be getting to it eventually 😂

Seeing the tokenring card on the 7200 - if you keep going back in history, please bring back netware. my first networking experience as a teenager was running a 10BASE2 network on Netware with Win98 clients (I was the IT guy at my dads small business). On second though, maybe spare yourself that torture 😂

We still use Cisco 2911s in our IT academy, alarming to see them be on a retro computing channel. If only weren't on opposite sides of the world, I would donate a Cisco Nexus 7012, only has 3x 6kw PSUs...

The Intel Express 510T switches would have been released in 1999-2000. It was before I learned about Intel NetStructure products and started playing around with their load balancers and Shiva-acquired products (Intel was a client at the marketing agency I worked for).

thank you!

I came out swinging in 2024, sad to break my video-per-week streak haha

You don't need to apologize for the latest pickups videos being lazy haha. I really appreciate the quick behind the scenes updates of what you are getting in! Also I agree with the partial video if you have the time for it!

Partial video would be sick. 2 weeks it’s 2 weeks too many. I need my fix of clabretro!
