Early Vid: Cisco PIX Firewalls
🕑 Added 2023-12-29 07:28:18 +0000 UTCManaged to sneak one more video out this year. I picked up these PIX firewalls over six months ago and I'm glad I finally made the time to play around with them.
We'll reset passwords, get networks setup, attempt a failover config, and even corrupt an install or two!
Should go live on the channel tomorrow evening (Friday)!

Yeah couldn't get it to fail over quite right but it was cool that both units knew they were connected via the cable right away!

If you're looking for erasedisk722.bin, I recommend you avoid this Cisco forum post, as the last reply contains a file that is distributed outside the Cisco terms for such. I hope seeing this link makes a copy appear on your tftp server as magically as the license was upgraded from failover-only. https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-security/pix-515-i-need-the-erasedisk-bin-utility/td-p/1681167 Interesting to think that the 506E is as old as I am.
